I love making Carrot Orange Ginger Juice. It blends crisp carrots with sweet oranges, tangy lemon, and zesty ginger to create a vibrant burst of vitamin C. I sometimes add a touch of honey and water for extra smoothness. This fresh twist on classic juice always surprises me with its bright flavor.

I recently decided to shake things up in my kitchen and try out a new twist on a classic carrot juice recipe. My Carrot Juice Recipe with Orange & Ginger is packed with vitamin C and bursting with flavor.
I tossed in 4 large carrots that were nicely washed and chopped, along with 2 large oranges I peeled and segmented myself. To give it an extra zing, I added 1 small lemon and a 1 inch piece of fresh ginger.
I even experimented with a bit of honey if I felt like I needed a sweeter taste. If you’re using a blender instead of a juicer, a 1/2 cup of water works wonders.
I’ve always been fascinated by recipes like ginger and carrot juice or that carrot orange ginger juice blend, and this one really impressed me. It’s refreshing, healthy, and a little different from your run-of-the-mill fresh juice recipes.
Try it out and see what you think!
Why I Like this Recipe
I like this recipe because it’s super healthy. All of the ingredients give me a huge boost of vitamin C and other good stuff, plus it’s refreshing and bright. I also love that it’s really simple to make even if I’m in a hurry, and the steps are easy to follow. Another thing I enjoy is the way the flavors come together – the natural sweetness of the oranges and carrots mixed with a little tang from the lemon and a kick from the ginger really hits the spot. Lastly, I appreciate that I can switch things up, like adding honey if I prefer it a bit sweeter, or using a juicer or blender, so it’s totally flexible to whatever I’ve got on hand.

Ingredient Quantities
- 4 large carrots, washed and chopped into chunks
- 2 large oranges, peeled and segmented
- 1 small lemon, peeled and pitted
- 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons of honey if you prefer a sweeter taste
- Optional: 1/2 cup water if you’re using a blender instead of a juicer
How to Make this
1. Start by washing and chopping 4 large carrots into chunks. If you’re using a juicer, these chunks will go right in; if you’re using a blender, you might want to add 1/2 cup water to help blend them smoothly.
2. Peel and segment 2 large oranges, making sure to remove as much of the white pith as you can so your juice isn’t too bitter.
3. Peel a small lemon and remove any seeds before cutting it into pieces.
4. Grab about a 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peel it, and slice it into smaller chunks.
5. If you like your juice a bit sweeter, you can add 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey now.
6. Toss your carrots, oranges, lemon, and ginger into the juicer chute, or add them all in your blender.
7. If you’re juicing, simply run the machine until all the ingredients have been processed. If using a blender, blend on high until it’s totally smooth.
8. Once blended, give the juice a quick stir and taste. You can adjust the honey if you need more sweetness.
9. If using a blender and you want a smoother consistency, strain the juice with a fine sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp.
10. Pour the juice into glasses over ice if desired and enjoy your vitamin C boost immediately!
Equipment Needed
1. Knife and cutting board for washing and chopping the carrots, oranges, lemon, and ginger
2. Citrus peeler or knife (if you need help peeling the oranges and lemon)

4. Measuring cup to measure out the 1/2 cup water or 1-2 tablespoons honey
5. Fine sieve or cheesecloth for straining out pulp if you blended everything
6. Spoon for stirring the juice once it’s blended
7. Glasses and ice if you’d like to serve the juice chilled

Carrot Juice Recipe With Orange & Ginger Substitutions and Variations
- Instead of large carrots, you can use parsnips or even beets for a different earthy flavor
- If you dont have oranges, you might try tangerines or even grapefruits but you may need to adjust the sweetness
- You can swap the lemon for a lime if that’s all you have on hand
- Instead of fresh ginger, a pinch of ground ginger can work in a pinch though it won’t be as pungent
- If you prefer different sweeteners than honey, try using maple syrup or agave nectar for a nice twist
Pro Tips
1. If you dont have a juicer, a blender works fine too; just add a bit of water when blending the carrots and strain the mix if you want it really smooth.
2. When you peel the oranges, try to get rid of as much of the white stuff as you can because it can make your juice kinda bitter.
3. Ginger packs a big punch so if you dont wanna your juice taste too spicy, start with a little and add more slowly if needed.
4. Always taste your juice after blending and add honey bit by bit until it’s as sweet as you want it to be.
